Zombie Manor has a new face on the front of their building that really makes a huge difference! You really FEEL like you are at a haunted house now, rather than at warehouse. Yes, they are located in the middle of an industrial park, but you won't be able to miss the front of their building once you get in the parking lot!
Set Design/Detail/Floor Plan
Zombie Manor is a must see for detailed, beautifully crafted, high quality set design. Every piece of the haunt is perfectly placed and decorated with the type of dedication we would like to see in every haunt. You will not find a single place in Zombie Manor that is sloppy or poorly placed, and this type of detail is what keeps you trapped in the Zombie world until you leave the haunt.
Zombie Manor has limited space, but the space is maximized perfectly to provide as much eye candy as possible. Another great feature of Zombie Manor is that the homestead theme remains consistent through the bedrooms, kitchen, and garden shed, even onto the back porch. We love consistency!
We did not notice a large number of changes made to the walkthrough, but Zombie Manor is one of those places that you can visit several times and still keep noticing something that you did not see before. There really is THAT MUCH detail all around to see!
Live Actors (Performance/Enthusiasm/Costumes)
It is very difficult to say anything bad about Zombie Manor because they put on such a great show. My only real issue with Zombie Manor is the high number of child actors. Sometimes having a child in a specific scene is part of the character and story, but there are several areas where I would have rather seen an adult Zombie rather than a very young one. It makes me think, "What kind of horrible accident killed all of these kids? Did a school bus crash?"
Although young, they are all still very talented and convincing, so it is difficult for me to say anything negative about their performance. In fact, I am extremely impressed that the younger Zombies are so dedicated to their characters and perform SO WELL. It is more a personal taste issue, because I am not frightened by kids – no matter how great their costume, makeup, or acting is – I simply cannot get over how adorably cute the kids are, so I end up admiring them instead of being afraid of them.
The performances were wonderful though. And yes, there are several adult Zombies available through the haunt, too. Everyone stayed true to their Zombie characters and did a fabulous job. I would have just liked to see more adults. (So I am really looking forward to the ages 18 and over 'mature' haunt night on November 13th. Actors and guests must all be at least 18, and more intense gore is promised!)
Admission Price vs. Length (Entertainment Value)
For around 10 minutes of haunt, the $15 price tag might seem a little bit high for some people, but I promise it is well worth it. The Zombie Manor takes quality to a high standard, so this price is very fair. Overall Experience/Summary/Misc. Information
Zombie Manor has some of the most beautifully designed scenes, and we would LOVE to see this haunt expand and grow into a larger building. We want more! Zombie Manor remains high on the list of frequently recommended haunts, and I have yet to hear anyone say anything but great things about their visit. Therefore, I know we are not alone in our opinions when we say that Zombie Manor is a must see haunt.
