Yup, I saw it. It was ok and decent as long as you didn't compare it to the originals.

The actor that played freddy offered a newer, darker twist to freddy. I had a hard time not comparing to Robert Englund. The two are played so differently and I still prefer Robert Englund's version much better.

I feel that the death scenes were too short and there were things that just didn't makes sense with continuity. However, overlooking all that it was entertaining and fun to watch. I was giggling the whole time!

I didn't understand how Wes Craven had such a small budget and did all these cool effects and this new one version just looks cheesey and fake. (and this is the year with all the high tech special effects)

I don't like the main girl either, I actually wanted her to die and thats never a good selling point of a main character.

I thought it was an ok movie nothing to write home about. I do find it annoying that people are pissed that Robert didn't play freddy. It would have been nice for him to have a cameo but I am sure he is done with the Freddy role. ( I mean he was 50 when F vs J came out)

I totally agree with you on that. It wasn't as fun and entertaining as the original. Also, the original had a _major_ creep out factor.

Robert Englund totally should have had a cameo! That would have been awesome!

Btw, if Freddy is a child molester, then why did he need the glove?

Didn't see it and wasn't really interested to see it. I could be wrong, but in the previews, the new Freddy looks like a teenage boy compared to what Robert looked like. I guess that isn't a real good reason NOT to see it, but I think I would just be disappointed and constantly compare it to the original.
